Volcanoes!!!!

In our Science lessons this half term we have been learning about rocks.. Today we learnt lots of interesting facts about  volcanoes. We did an amazing experiment where we built our own volcano using a selection of household chemicals. Year 3 not only did the sport's relief mile at least once. We also had a go at Zumba!  It was a great day raising money and awareness.  Hope you enjoy the video of us all doing Zumba and the photos of the sport's relief mile.

This week we have been looking at 2D shapes and angles in our Maths lessons. We have been learning about right angles. acute angles and obtuse angles. We made some angle eating fish to help us find lots of right angles in the classroom and did an angle challenge.

Science Week

This week is science week, we have had so much fun while learning. Especially as Brayton College came in to do many little workshops with us. I hope you enjoy looking at our workshop photos.

World Book Day

We had a fantastic time on World book dressed as our favourite book characters.

What are we learning about

This half term we are starting to learn about magic.We had lot of fun activities and we had an dark box challenge as well a blind bag challenge. We had a lot of fun with our learning buddies.

We have had an amazing half term in Sparkle and Shine Class! We have done loads of work on our topic 'The Rainforest'. In Literacy we have written a rain forest story and an explanation text about deforestation. We have learnt about the animals of the rain forest and their habitats. We were actually lucky enough to meet a few of these fantastic creatures in real life!
